I love Skippers Smokehouse in Tampa

TAMPA March 11th – I love playing at Skipper’s. I don’t know if it is the fact that we are outdoors, or if its the fact that SO MANY people come EVERYTIME to listen to these songs that I wrote in my living room. I tell you, there is NOTHING like watching people singing songs you wrote. Thank you for that!
This show was fun! One of my oldest friends, Greg Riddle, who was also of my old band, “The Chris McCarty Band” played, and it was GREAT to re-live the past, even for a few hours! The one thing that threw me off about the show was it was COLD! The day before felt like a, “Let’s get naked” day, then suddenly 40 degrees. Sigh, Florida I love you.
I’m not sure WHAT happened, but I was jumping around like I was 20 years old again! Maybe it was seeing all of my old friends again, maybe I am really appreciating this days as they go by. Actually, it just hit me. The MAIN reason I enjoyed myself like I did was because of the earthquake in Tokyo. I think I was bothered by something so petty earlier in the day, and then got the news. It is sad that sometimes it takes tragedy to get me(us) to REALLY see how great life IS, and how it can be cut off faster than we think. I feel for ALL of those horrified souls in Tokyo, and pray that we don’t see a day like that.
So, live your life, and let go of your personal issues. NONE of us are perfect, nor will we EVER be. We are HUMAN BEINGS…so just BE imperfect, and hopefully we will all see happiness the rest of our days!
